Welcome!

Big THANK YOU for the donations and support, for attending our Montessori House Yard Sale, for coming to our Parade Prep Pizza Party, and for walking with us in the St Johns Parade. So many fun events! Next stop: Graduation! (June 23rd)

We still have a few spots at the Primary location (ages 3-6) for friends to join us this summer and/or fall. Priority is given to families that can enroll in July, as well as families that are looking for full time enrollment. We are offering $50 off your September tuition if you can find a friend to enroll for a full-time (M-F) spot and $25 off for friends that enroll for part-time spots (MTW or RF). If you know somebody that you think would be a good fit for our community, please have them fill out a Parent Interest Form. Katie will contact you for an observation. Thank you!!

Nest  Preschool  CommunityConnections

The Montessori House’s mission is to provide a nurturing environment for the holistic development of children, walking to six years of age. Each child is recognized as a unique individual, as well as an integral part of our community.

We are a unique program that offers authentic Montessori environments, Bilingual Education, and a focus on Environmental Stewardship. We have an in-home toddler community (aka “The Nest”) and two primary (preschool) classrooms located at our center location. Each environment is prepared with Montessori materials, guided by a Montessori AMI trained guide and an assistant. Each classroom has a Spanish speaking adult in the environment each day.

The Montessori House strives to guide the child along his or her own individual path of construction while nurturing the social responsibility needed to live within a cooperative community. It is our goal to provide an environment that recognizes the authentic nature of the child.

The Montessori guide (teacher) is trained to prepare the environment with activities that match the laws of development and promote the children’s needs and desire for independence, language acquisition, social interaction, movement, and cognitive stimulation, as well as personal and environmental care.

We strive to have a strong, supportive, and vibrant learning community. We hope to create lasting relationships with the children and their families that are built on trust and mutual respect.
